I don’t think a concept like that would be game breaking since it would share a common concept with another game in the franchise and it would give an incentive to collect and hold onto your gold. I think Blizzard should take the Diablo 3 approach and allow you to buys additional tabs with various gold cost tiers. By the endgame gold looses it’s value and it’s only purpose was for gear repair, merc revives, and buying consumables.
In my heyday it wasn’t uncommon for myself to have at least 3+ mule accounts filled with goods that I either held onto for sentimental reasons or was my project gear that I was seeking the right runes, gems, jewels, etc. I believe if you want to solve the “mule” problem that you would have to have additional stash tabs. With that said, I am against increasing a players personal inventory due to conflicts with the added buffs additional charms can provide. I no way, shape, or form believe increasing the stash size is going to harm the balance of the game.
